About Sheena Marie Lynch

I’m a 38-year-old mother of three bright and beautiful children: Bailey (17), River (12), and Freya (2). I was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, and raised in the nearby town of Silver Springs. These Florida roots run deep, as does my passion for living a simple, grounded life close to nature.

For nearly a decade, I’ve worked professionally on boats, and I recently earned my Merchant Mariner’s License. When I’m not navigating the water through my work at Adventure Boat Share, I’m immersed in the joys of raising my children—often in the garden, the kitchen, or out exploring the great outdoors. We live without a television in our living room, surrounded instead by books, creativity, and the kind of quiet that inspires reflection, learning, and storytelling.

My days are filled with homegrown rhythms—tending the garden, foraging for wild edibles, and preparing wholesome meals in the kitchen. I love cooking and baking with organic, healthy ingredients, often using food we’ve grown ourselves. Sharing this lifestyle with my children is one of my greatest joys, teaching them to appreciate real food and the sacred connection between nature and nourishment.

My mother passed down to me a love for gardening and Native American practices, both of which shaped my worldview and inspired me to write my first children’s book. For nearly 20 years, I’ve been growing food organically, tending gardens in every region I’ve called home across the U.S. Today, I continue that journey back in Florida with my family, growing herbs, caring for fruit trees, and working toward a future dream: owning an orchard and running a produce stand filled with fruits, vegetables, and plants we’ve grown from seed.

Writing has always been part of my life—ever since a fifth-grade creative writing project sparked my imagination. Now, after years of journaling and storytelling in the quiet moments of motherhood, I’m honored to share my first published work with the world.
